Media Gang-stalking & Rooke the Crook
0:00
hello and welcome to the special edition of true Hope cast the official podcast of true hope Canada this is the sixth
0:06
episode of the true Hope Family files and it's titled media gangstalking and Rook the crook enjoy the show hello
0:13
everybody and welcome back to the true Hope Family files my name is Simon braia I am your host this is an eight-part
0:19
special series on true Hope cast the official podcast with true hope Canada last week we had part five media Witch
0:26
Hunt solitary confinement and house arrest if you've not caugh not caught up with that episode yet I highly suggest
0:32
that you do so to continue with uh part six today which is titled media gangstalking and Rook the crook of
0:39
course I've got David Stefan with me here today how are you David I'm doing very well thank you amazing well we
0:46
finished part five on a massive Cliffhanger you waited eight months after the appeals court hearing and the
0:54
three judges came back with a 2: one vote against you so technically you were
0:59
supposed to to get yourself back to prison and kette would have been back on house arrest but you were expecting Ella
1:07
literally any any day and you took a little bit of a different tactic I did yeah so it was it was of
1:14
interest to us I mean because it was no secret that colet was pregnant it was no secret when her due date was I mean all
1:20
that had been supplied to the solicitor solicitor General's office which was clearly you know work that is the crown
1:26
in essence and this is all being submitted to him because we're doing doing regular checkups with our probation officer because we're out on
1:33
appeal right and so technically I'm I'm still supposed to be in jail at this point in time until um the results of an
1:40
appeal come out so it was really of interest that on the due date of Ella November
1:45
15th um that all of a sudden this decision is rendered which is already way out of the norm typically you'd hear
1:51
a decision either the day of the appeal hearing or within a month and a half um but never you know any anytime after a
1:58
month and a half is getting a little little bit out of the norm it's a little unprecedented and by the time that eight
2:04
months rolls around now we're really thinking this is this is strange and so they rendered this decision and it was a
2:11
two to1 decision against us now um that was a shock to us because
2:17
in the appeal court hearing it was a two to one decision for US based on where the judges were so one of the judges
2:24
over that eight-month period was swayed the other one was not um but I'm I'm
2:29
suspecting that's why they gave it eight months to try to hopefully sway him um but he did not sway he had a dissenting
2:35
opinion and so two to1 decision all of their uh their decisions were written it
2:41
was supplied to us and I was supposed to bring myself back to jail and and so we
2:47
hear this in the morning and I'm just thinking I'm not going to jail I'm not driving myself into jail not while my my
2:54
wife is about to have a baby it's going to be a home birth um I'm there to assist her I'm not going to
3:01
jail so um I was pretty distraught over the whole of it I was sick of the the
3:06
games I was sick of the fact that often times they were scheduling um these hearings on the
3:11
anniversary date of ezekiel's passing um and they were doing this clearly intentionally I mean the pattern was
3:17
emerging it was just happening way too often or then they were they were you know eventually they would start
3:22
scheduling on my birthday and stuff like that it was just like they were trying to just grind salt into the wound and so
3:29
they come up with this decision at that particular time I'm saying absolutely not I'm not playing these games this I'm
3:34
sick of the corruption and so rather than driving myself into jail I wrote um
3:40
a pretty heated post calling out the Judiciary calling them out for their corruption um because this was clearly
3:47
another case of corruption the with the appeals courts you don't
3:53
get transcripts and they do this intentionally and and they do it intentionally so that you know they can
4:00
change their mind and do so without repercussions of being held accountable to what they had to say and or what they
4:06
agreed upon within the appeals courts and so we clearly had two judges for us
4:12
and one was biased right out of the gates as mentioned in the previous podcast and he was just regurgitating
4:18
all of this media narrative um as if that was where he was getting his information from but that wasn't the facts that wasn't the facts from the
4:24
first case he was literally relying on the media so um I'm looking at this I'm
4:30
saying no I'm not playing these games anymore not to the detriment of my family so I write this post and um it
4:38
you know given the heat of everything and the fact that this was you know an extremely high-profile case and that CBC
4:45
loved to do anything they could to try to smear us and to to to grind me down um CBC picks up on it amongst all the
4:51
other media Outlets but CBC did the best job actually in this and um it was a real amateur kind of rookie mistake that
4:59
that took place with their written article um and what they did is they actually cited they they quoted a lot
5:06
from me and actually shared the link to my Facebook post which then literally
5:12
overnight my following just skyrocketed because people were reading between the lines and and or if they weren't reading
5:19
between the lines they were reading CBC they get outraged at me but now they went directly to my post got to see it for what it was and all of a sudden I've
5:25
got a massive following right um I think we actually have that article available yeah yeah I'm going to share that right
5:32
now but I just wanted to mention I just wanted to say in regards to the response of eight months rather than
5:39
an a day for a decision or a month and a half and I guess they I guess they have that time frame
5:46
so those judges who are have got all that information in front of them can actually make that
5:52
decision kind of quickly without too much external influence and I'm sure
5:58
that's there for a very specific purpose that that timeline but to have you know another example of just out of the norm
6:06
practice during this case that the eight months and you know that was I guess
6:11
it's a long enough time for the crown to either use as a tactic to stress you
6:17
guys out and put you under more pressure as you're waiting for the appeal but also eight months is a long period of
6:23
time to be able to persuade one of the other judges to you know s the vote the
6:30
other way even though like in the moment um on that day it was it was two two to
6:36
one4 and it's obviously not what they not what they wanted so it's yeah it's just so it's just another example of
6:42
the the treacherous unfair games that have been played and yeah I'll share
6:47
this article now that you're that you're referring to there it is if you just want to maybe read the title for people
6:54
who who are who are just listening yeah absolutely yeah so so the the headline is no room for justice and that's quotes
7:00
because that's coming directly from my my post no room for justice David Stefan post Ty raade after conviction upheld in
7:07
son's menitis death and so which by the way that that's right off the bat that's
7:13
misleading because we weren't convicted in his death that's we saw from the last um podcast we shared that video right
7:19
off the start where you have the crown prosecution saying that the death has nothing to do with the conviction that
7:25
that's not what they were going for and the reason being is because they knew full well and they they didn't want to go down that road that my son's death was due to the
7:31
medical system um with Alberta Health Services criminal negligence in in removing that equipment from the
7:37
ambulances so right there that I mean it's a fallacy but um but they they had Incorporated that uh in their narrative
7:43
for a long time until we actually called them out in 2019 um and made them do retractions
7:49
which we'll discuss that in in a future podcast but um but yeah so anyways
7:56
there's a ton of quotes it talks about the fact that I you know mentioned that there's no room for love there's no room for truth and there's no room for
8:03
justice um within the courts and so now you know this is kind of you know
8:10
suicide in a sense because what what's going on here is I'm
8:17
at the mercy of the Courts at this point in time I'm legitimately at the mercy of the courts and if I upset them um
8:24
remember these are people that that don't make decisions in a vacuum they're
8:29
subject to their biases um to their apprehensions of of who somebody may be
8:35
or or politically and that's going to sway their decisions and when somebody starts speaking out and saying you guys
8:41
are incredibly corrupt they're more likely to say we're going to get you but
8:47
we're at we're at a point here where we've just exhausted two out of three um options
8:54
we've just exhausted those we went through the regular trial and there was a wrongful
8:59
conviction the judge botched it after after we proved that my son didn't die from what the crown claimed um that the
9:06
autopsy report was clearly falsified um and we we were speaking openly about that and so had we been wrong in that
9:13
you want to know that we would have been sued already like I've probably said it uh a thousand times out in the open at
9:19
this point in time in in various interviews and whatnot and and live streams I have not held back at all I've
9:26
made that bold claim that autopsy was falsified yet no civil liability has ever been
9:32
brought against me the reason being and I I actually was hoping that at some point in time that they would take the bait that they would actually come at me
9:38
for that they never did they never took the bait because they knew that it was just going to be that there's no way that they could have proved in civil
9:43
litigation that it wasn't falsified and it would have actually done them a fantastic disservice but I was hoping
9:50
that they would um so I always took that risk uh to speak boldly about that and
9:55
so we proved that it was falsified in the first trial but yet we're found guilty so our next option is the appeal
10:01
court otherwise we're going to jail and there's a precedent that's going to be like extremely damaging for uh the
10:07
general public and based on what we discussed last time the crown wasn't happy over the fact that I got four
10:12
months jail and that call that got three months um house arrest they were wanting up to five years and so they were
10:19
pushing for that so they appealed as well but our appeal went through first
10:24
so now we appeal and option two fails so
10:31
we're left with one option this is our last chance and that's the Supreme Court
10:36
and so that's that's basically where where we were going to have to look at going next but so what happens Sor sorry
10:43
David just before you take us through that I just thinking about the article the no room for justice I feel just
10:48
trying to get the the motivation behind the media to to post that to kind of risk um amplifying your audience and
10:56
amplifying your message I think that there are potentially going with this is a this is a he's a crazy guy he's a
11:03
conspiracy theorist know they use the word Ty raade on there so they're looking to you know expose you as this
11:09
crazy person but I think people deep down know that there's a horrific amount of corruption within the judicial system
11:17
um within within medicine within education like we we see so many
11:22
examples of this and I think people just kind of deep down know that so that's why I feel that you've had you had a very very positive um out come from this
11:30
and it's just just goes to show like the the people behind this type of article who kind of greenlighted it the editor
11:36
like they're not the smartest individuals in the world they've kind of got this game plan remember this is unchartered territory for them the media
11:44
they're not accustom to a convict or somebody who's been criminally charged
11:50
speaking openly in the public that doesn't typically happen um and before
11:55
this I mean I I I'm not aware of anybody who who had ever been charged for something like this that didn't remain silent and let their
12:02
lawyer be the mouthpiece yeah because the the the thing is and here here's the thing that I had to live under literally
12:08
for nine no 10 years anything I said or did could be used could or would be used
12:15
against me in a court of law I literally was living under that that weight for
12:23
that many years and here I am a public presenter I'm speaking openly about things um I had to
12:30
very um careful that anything I said that I could back up and that I was
12:36
willing to find myself defending in a court that's literally how my mind began to work and still does work that way
12:43
today it became so habitual for me that I don't say anything unless I'm
12:49
comfortable knowing that I can take a bold stand for it on the witness stand at some point in time and it's actually
12:57
it's the way that we should all operate because it means that we're not going to speak things that we don't think or that we don't actually know our truth so
13:02
we're always looking to back up what we're saying that we make sure that we're not putting oursel out on a limb
13:07
and so the media doesn't they're not used to that so they're they're posting
13:13
an article on somebody who's speaking boldly who who's now supposed to be going back to jail um and so they're not
13:20
used to that they don't know what the you know this is kind of untested for them and so they really generated a
13:27
significant amount of Sympathy For Me In in that particular element or that particular area at that point in time
13:33
and it it actually did what um what I was really hoping that it would do
13:38
because I'm I'm supposed to be at this point in time November 15th I'm supposed to be getting in the vehicle or having
13:44
my wife get in the vehicle with the kids and drop me off at the doors of the jail and I'm supposed to go in and surrender
13:50
myself to them get handcuffed up put in the the room until they process me and throw me back into solitary confinement
13:56
again right so the crown does something really out of the norm because remember
14:02
at this point in time they're doing everything they can to injure us right psychologically everything this is a
14:08
complete game for them and they're trying to break us and so all of a sudden my lawyers because we have two
14:14
lawyers at this point in time call has one I have one um who headed up the appeal they get a phone call from the
14:21
crown and the crown states to them hey you know if you're going to appeal to the Supreme Court your client doesn't
14:28
have to go back to jail we'll just continue on the conditions like what we did before
14:35
because I'm on conditions at this point in time which by the way one of those conditions was any sign or symptom of
14:41
sickness or injury that we have to take our kids into the doctor so literally we're we're taking our you know Enix
14:47
starts to get a run nose doctor we go right it was the stupidest thing and the doctor's like what are you here for uh
14:53
so we don't go back to jail like we're we're just following our orders and the doctors just like come on you guys are
14:58
healthy he's like he tests you know blood oxygen levels he's doesn't get any better than that right you guys are great you know great bill of health
15:04
there you go if anything gets worse then come back right nothing ever got worse but it was just this ridiculous thing
15:10
that the crown was really trying to to to you know hit on right so if we are um
15:17
applying to the Supreme Court those same conditions will apply I don't need to go back to jail I'm still out on appeal
15:23
right out of jail on appeal still to go visit the parole officer on a regular basis still have to get a um you know a
15:31
permission slip to leave the province which was often I'm I'm still doing a lot of public presentations at this point and so that was really interesting
15:39
because this was the first time that the crown actually put out something that was half decent but it's because of the
15:46
the Optics the Optics were horrible Colette's pregnant like what woman isn't going to sympathize with her what mother
15:53
in Canada is not going to sympathize with her and the fact that you know eight months they they had months to
15:59
make this decision and they finally dropped it on colet's due date like come on guys really and so um Colette
16:08
fortunately went about a week overdue so well not about it was literally seven days it was the the
16:14
22nd of November and then she had little Ella right um so now our fifth child
16:20
four boys one girl and so it's beautiful time for our home but now we're
16:26
thinking the Alberta appeals court is so incredibly corrupt um every court that
16:31
we've dealt with thus far is incredibly corrupt we're thinking what do we do like legitimately at this point in time
16:38
we're thinking how do we escape this how do we get out of Canada like this is so
16:43
horrible like we don't stand a chance based on what we're seeing this is it just doesn't end um and so we're
16:50
extremely concerned at this point in time but like okay let's go with it and so you know
16:56
here we are now paying another $150,000 to um fund the supreme court hearing
17:03
because we just paid about $150,000 for the appeal court um which was cheaper
17:09
than our previous trial the the regular trial so at this point in time now we're we're well over half a million dollars
17:14
into all of this right like well no no actually everything else I think we I
17:20
think we're actually starting to get up into the close to a million at this point in time so anyways but after everything was
17:27
said and done because there's all the extra costs and stuff like that like hiring Annie Savage was I don't know
17:33
that was a fair that was a fair chunk of change and all that um and that's the thing is that we came to realize well
17:39
that Justice is not available first of all like well it's not even available regardless of how much money you have if
17:44
they want to rule against you they're going to rule against you regardless but um it definitely isn't available to
17:49
those who don't have um funding right like you just won't get a fair stab at
17:55
Justice at all in this country so that was that was where that one went
18:01
with the article and it actually had a fantastic outcome in the fact that I could actually stay at home and I could
18:06
be there for the birth of my daughter that's awesome yeah I mean I
18:12
just think about the the media proponent for this because it's a theme throughout the whole you know this is the sixth
18:17
episode and every episode we're talking about the media again and they have such a significant role in the whole story
18:23
and I feel like the audience is split and I think you've
18:29
got the Facebook scrollers you've got the people who really believe in the leg
18:35
Legacy Media those kind of like short-term thinkers who I think like subconsciously are just looking for
18:41
something to be angry about or be enraged about and they don't care what it is they'll read a headline they'll
18:47
fall for it they won't ask questions they won't be skeptical and they're on team we call them team crown and then on
18:54
the other side you've got truth Seekers you've got people who ask questions people who a lot more genuine who are
18:59
authentic who can emotionally connect with your story and recognize that you know the judicial system is not you know
19:06
the perfect democracy that we're that we would come to expect know big picture
19:11
thinkers rather than that that that shortsighted element and I think that the longer that this kind of goes on
19:17
because it's a very unique case that especially the fact that you're being outspoken about this you're
19:24
doing Facebook lives and you're you know you're going out there and then the media responds by doing this
19:30
article it just goes it just goes to show for me the the power the media does
19:36
have but at the end of the day if you look at the people who are clinging on to that fear
19:44
propaganda it's not the true it's not it's not those true people those true authentic wonderful people
19:51
that understand what it is to know love a child more than anything and just have
19:58
to listen to you or Colette talk about your children or your family for a few minutes to recognize that you know you
20:04
guys are incredible parents and that there is way much more to this story
20:11
than simple nonsense CBC headlines exactly and you know really
20:18
who the media was you know catering to especially CBC was just bitter people
20:24
angry people that needed um an outlet to project their anger and we saw that a lot and it actually came to the point
20:30
where after a lot of these death threats like I would wake up some mornings with just a heavy weight on my chest I'm like
20:36
what's going on like what what's up there's something up sure enough you know a couple hours later I'd go on to
20:42
my Facebook and I'd see that I have a bunch of stuff in my inbox like okay and I just see just just this incredible
20:49
incredible vital just these nasty messages and I'm like okay who published
20:55
an article now so sure enough I'd go do a Google search on my name and see what the news was and oh all right yeah last
21:02
night yeah CBC posted another article and it was just getting these people
21:07
just to project this this this hatred and so it got to the point where I just realized like I felt sorry for these
21:14
people that they were being played in that sense but I also came to recognize what was really going on in their
21:21
hearts and that was disheartening for me like I felt I legitimately genuinely felt sorry for them to the point that no
21:28
longer did look at the content of their message but that I actually kind of got an understanding of where they were and the bitterness that they were Hing and
21:34
all that and actually felt sorry for them yeah right like so it that was a beautiful shift in my life where no
21:40
longer was it at the surface level about you know them versus me or whatever or them holding a negative opinion or a
21:46
false opinion about me or anything that it was these people in order for them to get to this point where they can be
21:52
played by the media and just become you know vitc towards somebody that they
21:58
have no clue they don't know the facts they don't know the suffering that that my myself my wife went through or my family they just don't know yeah um they
22:05
if they did and they didn't have that bitterness in the heart there's no way they would ever be doing this and so I actually started to feel really sorry
22:11
for those those individuals and that was a beautiful shift in my life to realize you know I can forgive these people um I
22:18
don't have to bear that weight I don't have to try to prove myself to them either that's not the point I am going to speak the truth I'm definitely going
22:25
to speak the truth on this matter um there's so many so many things hanging on that that you know like I don't think
22:31
we would would have ever got out of this um had I not boldly spoken the truth uh
22:37
even though I was rolling the dice because I was ticking off a lot of people the crown hated me and like I
22:42
said at first they looking for 12 months jail time and then I kept on speaking out and now they're looking for 36 and
22:48
now I kept on speaking out now they're looking for five years right and so it was constantly this thing where I was
22:54
ticking people off and I had a choice either completely shut up and hope that they're going to do the right thing
22:59
which clearly from the very beginning they didn't do the right thing rather than six weeks for an autops airport
23:05
seven months right that's how long it took to to falsify that autopsy report and still they didn't get all their
23:11
their eyes doted and their te's crossed properly we were able to pick it apart um with a little bit of evidence and a
23:16
little bit of science behind this but um I had to either back off completely shut
23:22
up and and hope that they would do the right thing which I knew they weren't going to do or go full out and just continue to speak boldly and so way I
23:29
was going to be upsetting people regardless so I choose the road of Truth yeah and I think that those
23:35
angry individuals on that on the crown side I feel like if they were a majority
23:43
and they actually truly thought about the situation and believed that their anger
23:49
was justified then they would come out in numbers and protests because at this moment you know you're doing events with
23:56
true hope you're doing dozens of them you know and you're not having any issues like you're not having you're not
24:02
having uh these stores being boycotted you're not having these stores being you
24:07
know threatened with anything you're not being blocked at the door you know none of these things are happening so it's
24:13
like you'll get you know the these these articles come out online and in the newspaper and on TV I guess and then you
24:21
have this like these people these Facebook trolls or these just like even the real people just sending you
24:27
messages from you know their armchair with their feet up on their phone just sending these
24:33
messages to you but there's no real there's nothing behind it like it's just yeah it's not really about you as just
24:39
say like you feel sad for sad for these people and pity I totally agree with you
24:44
there and it's just yeah if there was any real substance behind or any truth behind their hatred and anger they would
24:50
be out in numbers because that's you know that's where you show that you you really care they'd be out there exactly
24:55
and and like we discussed last podcast is that when the media found out that I
25:01
was going to be in Prince George this is back in January of 2017 the media
25:07
decided that they were going to create the news rather than just report on the news and so they were talking about protests and using all this inflammatory
25:13
language to make it look like there was going to be an issue which would naturally rally angry people if there
25:20
was actually that many angry people that were angry enough to want to protest
25:25
well the news just created that event for them they're going to Rally together
25:32
and what do we see when I arrive at Prince George and I and I go to do the presentation a room full of people that
25:37
were eagerly wanting to hear what I had to say nobody there for a protest other than that one guy that shows up late
25:44
with the media leaves with the media causes a stink and the audience wants to
25:49
Lynch them and I have to calm the audience down right like yeah it's just not there like obviously there is angry
25:54
people but mainly they're probably just keyboard Warriers who you know for the most part and they just feel you know like they have no significance in their
26:00
life they're bitter they don't feel like they're achieving anything they're probably um you know vicariously living
26:06
through these online um role playing games type thing whatever right I don't know like I'm sure there's all sorts of
26:12
people but that's probably the the the majority of the people that were actually doing you know on team Crown
26:18
doing their bidding of just spewing vitrio at me um were probably just
26:24
people that uh just didn't feel very good about about their own life circle ances that's most likely it yeah and
26:30
those individuals those characters that do come out to play like that chat that that chap at that health food store in
26:37
Prince George we can say with pretty much a lot of certainty that that person's been paid to participate in
26:44
that game with the media but those individuals those dozens of people come out to to listen to you speak about true
26:51
hope and they incredible products and also you sharing your story they're there for
26:58
love for knowledge for wisdom for authenticity they're there for completely different reasons so the
27:04
media and the crown are actually having to spend taxpayers money to get angry
27:12
actors to fill these roles it's it's so pathetic but it's so transparent if
27:19
you're just aware if you have a little bit of perspective of the world that's a really good way of putting it because
27:24
even when when CBC was sitting there you know doing all of this and they were running agenda really for the media they
27:29
L the charge all the other media mainstream media organizations followed suit CBC L the charge but that was
27:36
taxpayers money right that's a taxpayers organization right uh it's a crown organization so it's it's interesting
27:43
and the collusion that was likely going on behind the scenes because at this point in time right we we're now going
27:51
to Supreme Court which by the way they fast-tracked that as well which was good though they fast-tracked it so this is November 2017 that we're applying to
27:59
Supreme Court we're going to be heard by May 2018 so that's pretty quick but in
28:04
that meantime we're still doing presentations right I'm doing a lot of presentations and and there was
28:11
everything was going fine like there was still no issues now lost the appeal wrongful conviction in 2016 but yet
28:18
there are still a lot of people showing up for my presentations and like you
28:23
said no issues no issues unless the media is somehow um getting
28:30
interconnected with this whole scenario right where the media isn't involving themselves there's literally no issues
28:37
whatsoever so now we fast forward to February 2018 so now we're three months
28:43
out from losing the appeal and we're a few months out from uh going to the
28:48
Supreme Court and I'm on permission slip to do a tour and so once you know I go
28:53
to the the Alberta sisser General's office the crown right and I tell tell them where I'm going and they log it
29:00
into the computer and they give me a permission slip right so they know where I'm going to be the crown so then I'm at
29:08
this these events there's two back to back um coming up into
29:13
um first and second weekend of February and the first event is in
29:20
Saskatoon and it's the health and wellness Expo that's putting on these these back-to-back events now I'd only
29:26
ever had one show with them before and that was
29:32
in oh boy I think it was March no probably February February actually I
29:39
think mid-February as well mid-February of 2017 now that was coming off you know
29:45
one month after the Prince George event and so and it was right around that Prince George event that he reached out
29:51
to me that I got in contact with him and so that was really fresh and I just said look I just want to let you know that
29:57
I'm probably going to be the most controversial speaker that you're you're putting up if you really want me to be there and he said oh absolutely
30:02
controversy sells said yeah it can it can are you ready for it right so what
30:08
does he do he puts me up as the keynote speaker on on his on the front page of his website I'm I'm like you go to the
30:15
health and wellness expo at that particular time it's advertising for this the Winnipeg Wellness
30:21
Expo you're going to see my face he posts a link to the uh Discovery Health
30:26
documentary that was done on us back in uh September of 2002 so he's got that documentary he is showcasing myself and
30:33
true hope he's putting us right out front and center and so there's no no secrets
30:38
about me being at that show and I'm presenting twice over that that particular weekend there and you want to
30:44
know there wasn't a single issue not a single hiccup even though a month before
30:50
the news drummed up this whole controversy in Prince George they didn't they obviously didn't catch that I was
30:55
going to be in Winnipeg in so right once again you know February of 2017 so it
31:01
goes really well um and he's got really great feedback so he wants me to do the whole tour with with him and so the
31:09
first of the tour is Saskatoon and then it's gonna be Winnipeg and then it's gonna be Edmonton um and he's got me
31:15
scheduled for all and he's got me scheduled for three speaking spots over every single weekend I'm going to be
31:21
presenting Friday evening I'm gonna be presenting Saturday and Sunday and he's giving me the P best time slots right
31:27
and so we've got a relationship going and because it worked out really well for him to for me to be at that that
31:33
show um the year before okay so now here we are the first weekend of February
31:41
2018 I go to the show we set up and I do my first presentation Friday almost a
31:49
completely full house almost not quite everybody's pretty excited a lot of questions and answers coming in after
31:56
I I end up having to stay uh probably about 10 minutes after um with people just coming and introducing themselves
32:01
or whatever meanwhile I've got people work in the booth and there's just a flock of people going to the booth and all this type of stuff to to get these
32:08
you know life-changing supplements and to get their questions answered as well from um from my reps at that point in
32:14
time that were with me there so Friday's a success well um the media CBC in
32:24
particular had reached out to uh Rick who was running the shows and they wanted to come and do an
32:30
interview and he said no you guys aren't CU he he knew he knew what their tactics were I'd already apprised him I said hey
32:36
look just so you're aware like this is what they could do um but it's been sporadic so um what happens is they
32:44
contact him and he said no you guys aren't allowed at the show well some reporter sneaks through you know dress
32:51
just normal whatever but no equipment nothing right just just a you know a recorder device or whatever some CBC
32:58
reporter sneaks through on the Friday and Records the
33:04
presentation takes notes does an article the article is released on
33:12
Saturday it stir up a lot of controversy because they push it they push it
33:18
hard and so now we see the conservative concerted effort and we see the formula that they would develop that would work
33:25
um for future shows not just for myself but also for people like Dell big tree to get cancelled they discover this
33:32
formula and here's what it is they come out with this the article saying big controversy but there's no controversy
33:39
like at all so my Saturday presentation goes really well also like there's no issues in fact at that point in time now
33:45
it's a full house because of the people that were there on the Friday were going and telling their friends saying you need to go see David Stefan present uh
33:51
he's got some incredible information so now I've got a full house with just standing room at the back we're anticipating that the Sunday's going to
33:56
be even even better and just like a packed house right and so that goes well but we hear about the these stirrings
34:03
going on that the media had come in and that they did a report um and so now what we see though
34:10
is the online trolls and we're going back to the whole I'm going to say just as a whole a group uh those people that
34:17
are that are connected with you know the Terry pvo and the Marvin Rosses and all this that drummed up all the controversy
34:23
and and helped get health Canada to come and do a gun drawn raid on us and all that type of stuff um back in the early
34:29
2000s now um we see the the for lack of better terms the Pharma trolls that are
34:35
doing their bidding and they they had to atted a number of shows Health shows in
34:41
the past uh directly to try to get me cancelled but I headed them off and said hey just qualify them see where they're
34:48
coming from are they actually your clients and they were finding people like communicating to them from Sweden
34:55
and like Fort McMurray and just all these places like this isn't your audience like we're on the west coast
35:00
here who who's actually trying to um get you to cancel me it isn't people that
35:06
are actually going to be coming to the show I mean look at it physically look at it in real life the people that are coming to the show are happy that I'm
35:12
here and so I was able to head that off and so they were able to take a look at this say yeah no these aren't these
35:18
aren't real people right like they're not real clients and so now this show is getting attacked
35:24
though but what they decide to do is rather than attack the show specifically because they did at first and didn't work um just just case in point we were
35:32
going to do sasun Winnipeg and Edmonton Edmonton was the first year that this particular show was going to be there it
35:38
had never been there before one of the the um the people that reached out said I've been a longtime supporter of yours
35:45
here in Edmonton really funny we've never been there yet how could you support me from
35:51
Edmonton right we've been in Saskatchewan and Manitoba and and I will
35:56
no longer support you um for having David Stefan there and so that was one of the reports that that Rick brought
36:02
back to me and said yeah no these are not like real clients they're just drumming up this controversy trying to get you canceled um and so anyways they
36:10
what they decide to do is attack the vendors and say we've been a longtime supporter of you you know doing this
36:17
that whatever uh you know supporting your your business and these are smaller vendors a lot of them like little shops and stuff like that and um saying we'll
36:24
no longer support you now they didn't have the to say are they actually our clients have they actually ever walked
36:31
into our bricks and Mortal location like really and so they get scared and say oh
36:37
no we're going to lose our business because we're supporting a show that's supporting David stefen who is a baby killer right is how it's being coined
36:44
and so then they start to pull out and that's where they actually had success
36:49
because they were able to effectively disrupt the show and here was one of the major issues it was the first year that
36:57
the and wellness expo at this point in time had decideed to really get big sponsors and soes became one of their
37:04
sponsors and so just to provide a little bit of context to this late January early
37:09
February um one of my reps is working with soes soes wants to carry our products
37:16
and soes is setting up these little wellness centers within their larger
37:23
locations so it's going to be like a small health food store within um their grocery stores with you know people that
37:30
actually work it and are you know kind of expert in relation to nutrition right so that's what soes is looking to do so
37:37
they're getting into the health shows to basically roll out this this new model that they're about to to bring
37:44
forward so they sponsor the show so soie is wanting our products well now we're
37:50
jointly together at a show we're not under their Banner they have I think eight booths because they already carry
37:55
other other Natural Health Products so they had those vendors come and and work under their their umbrellas so they had
38:00
a whole aisle soes did we were right across the aisle from them and um when
38:07
the controversy starts to erupt soes takes a look at this and they
38:12
decide to do a PR stunt with it thinking that they can throw me under the bus and
38:19
gain some ground in the Natural Health industry right by throwing me under the bus that it's going to somehow it's it's
38:26
going to save face for them and they're going to um ultimately be a springboard off this it completely backfired they
38:32
put out a press release on the Saturday evening uh distancing themselves from me and distancing themselves from the show
38:38
saying that they're pulling out of the show so they did they pulled out of the show so now what
38:44
happens the whole show starts to erupt you got four booths from Flamin Flamin pulls out you've got these other you
38:51
know one booth two Booth whatever over here that are saying we're pulling out because they're being attacked and thinking we need to separate our our El
38:57
or distance ourselves from the show otherwise we're going to lose our clientele because they've got these people phoning in and saying we're going to you know we're not going to support
39:03
you anymore when in reality they weren't actually their their clients these are just professional um trolls and so then
39:11
um soie pulls out all eight booths and they put out a PR um a press release
39:17
saying that they'll have nothing to do with it and it completely backfired to the point that they actually never did roll
39:23
out those little hell food stores within the soes locations because now there was
39:28
a massive boycott going on against soes because I had a big following at this
39:34
point in time had a big following of Highly supportive people in Canada that
39:39
um were very um conscientious of what was going on in relation to you know the
39:45
pharmaceutical industry and all this type stuff and they they could read between the lines so there's this big boycott that's being called out on soes
39:52
saying don't support them at all and that's now going out so it basically what happened is the media CBC in
40:00
conjunction with these trolls were able to just throw a massive wrench in that
40:06
show and then we got cancelled because he said um Rick said hey look you you have to pack up like this has just
40:12
gotten way out of control you have to pack up so now we pack up on the Sunday
40:17
morning the eight booths are all all in disarray that soes was involved with and
40:22
so now the show's like gotten down to like just over half of what it was and then there's a ton of people that are
40:29
showing up to come to our booth on the Sunday and come to the presentation and they're livid because we're not there
40:36
and so everybody's suffering now all because of this media and online
40:41
activity when in reality there was no issue there was no issue but because it made it look like an issue and people
40:47
responded to it like it was a real issue all of a sudden it did become a real issue so it's a complete asurf movement
40:54
so now they got this figured out because before they couldn't get me canceled from these these different shows and
40:59
they kept on trying right like November of 2017 Health show no issues media
41:05
tried to come in the the show organizer said absolutely not get out of here no we know what you're trying to do get out
41:11
of here and there was actually an altercation that took place out in the main hall as I'm presenting in this side
41:17
room um and and you can see this altercation going on because the media is demanding that they that they're able
41:23
to come in to see my presentation and to record it so that they could drum up this whole thing so because it was dealt with
41:29
appropriately there was no issue that resulted from it had they been able to come in and do their spin there they
41:35
would have drummed up an issue so we're be able to keep it at Bay until they figured out attack the vendors and all
41:41
of a sudden it's like somebody dropped a bomb in the middle of the show and you've got almost half the vendors are
41:46
gone and and whatnot so from that point forward we were basically canceled from
41:52
every show as soon as they got it figured out attack the vendors make it look like a big issue then the news
41:57
actually reports that it is a big issue that it caused all these issues and so they they they they were responsible for
42:03
generating the issue and then they reported on the issue as if it was an organic issue that would have just naturally happened when in reality they
42:11
helped create it and that's exactly what we were seeing is that the news was not reporting the news they were actually
42:16
creating the news yeah quite incredible but it's clearly a it's actually a quite smart
42:22
tactic that obviously worked and the fact that you had uh people that Sunday
42:28
coming to the booth coming to the presentation that and they were very upset that you weren't been doing that
42:34
that's that's the real people in regards to the handful of individuals that don't really exist that again PID to cause up
42:42
problems and I understand from the vendor's perspective you know they might not have the
42:48
um the awareness to recognize that you know these these complaints or these
42:55
these responses from the audience or
43:01
customers they they W weren't sure that these were these people genuine or not and just reacted in a you know
43:07
over-the-top manner rather than you know perhaps chatting with yourself chatting with Rick chatting with the organization
43:13
organizers of of the event yeah it's just a shame that those individuals
43:18
rather than standing with the Natural Health Community standing with Canadians standing with parents um it's a shame
43:24
that they took that route instead and really hands the crown of a victory and all this yep yeah and at the end of the
43:32
day and this is a simple formula had nobody
43:37
responded to these false complaints to this controversy that was trying to be
43:43
drummed up had nobody responded to it that was within the show nobody would have known the difference the news would
43:49
have had nothing to report on nobody would have lost any clients and the show would have you know
43:55
kept on going tick de Bo but as soon as a few people cave it just creates that domino effect um which here here's the
44:03
interesting thing now and now that we're this far out which we're going to get you we're going to substantiate where we are um today uh over the next few
44:10
podcasts but it's interesting because here there's no issues now and
44:15
yet these issues still persist where there's still the online troll activity um I don't see it ever like on
44:24
my Facebook page or but if I'm going to go do a presentation if it gets into the hands of the wrong people all of a
44:29
sudden there's going to be a major controversy or it looks like it online with all of this you know like the most
44:35
recent one got put under Reddit and there was 45 comments like licky split
44:40
40 it looked like a big issue and then it stopped at 45 comments like it literally it stopped as soon as it
44:47
started just to make it look it was a facade to make it look like there was an issue and then when the show got
44:53
cancelled um because I was you know uh in in the next little bit here are supposed to be doing a show um there was two more comments that
45:01
that popped up one was oh looks like and this is a couple days after oh the show was cancelled right and then someone
45:08
else responded back saying oh that's that's a perfect uh outcome thank you everybody right which this was the
45:14
person that was really inciting the the whole controversy you look at the Alias you look at everything going on it's like you're an online troll you're not a
45:20
real per like you're not actually that's not your real you know personage that you're you know putting these comments
45:26
under you're you know it's just some robot type uh icon or whatever but you could see the the dialogue that was
45:33
going on and it all looked like it was or the majority of it not all there was there was I think u a couple comments I
45:39
when I analyzed the 45 comments that looked like they were actually legitimate people from that area but the vast majority of them looked like it was
45:45
somebody talking to themselves like it was all written like you know responding to themselves under different aliases to
45:51
make it look like it was this big big ordeal and unfortunately how the food
45:57
store that was going to be hosting me not responded at all nobody would have known the
46:02
difference nobody would have known the difference in the real world it's just it's it's strange it's actually shocking
46:08
that how much it's being influenced by by these organizations by by people that are
46:15
putting on a front that are literally just there to to be professional um crap disturbers right that's all they're
46:21
doing and they make it look like there's issues when there isn't really an issue and people out of fear respond and then
46:27
once they respond then it gets the ball rolling as soon as they give them a little bit and then they can just springboard off of it and it it turns
46:35
things bad real fast so that was the beginning of the complete collapse of
46:42
that part of my career where here I'm I'm rising quite quickly to being the
46:48
top health speaker in western Canada I'm going to start now doing tours in Eastern Canada um I'm being invited out
46:55
to all these different shows and stuff like that I don't have to going and apply it's just like it's just a shoe in I've got health food stores setting up
47:00
events all the time and all of a sudden everybody's pulling back because once
47:05
that show blew up now the media had something to go off of and to make it look like it was actually a real
47:11
substantial issue and so now we had this issue on our hands so the spring of of 2018 I had
47:20
a lot of presentations set up a lot in fact there was at one point in time there was um a 10day period I had 11
47:28
presentation set up so I was just going to like work myself to the Bone and so here I'm going to go do these
47:35
presentations um and every single one of them got cancelled because of as soon as
47:41
one got cancelled then also the media is reporting on it being cancelled which then gets the other guys to be scared now they're going to want to cancel and
47:48
it just makes it look like it's a real actual issue that they're going to have people protesting in front of their stores and stuff like that when in
47:55
reality that that there just was wasn't any of that going on and so I basically
48:01
overnight had to shift gears to trying to figure out how do I get these presentations out and so I remember
48:06
doing kind of a response after all that that I did an online presentation after I'd just been canceled and said here's
48:13
the presentation that they're trying to prevent you from seeing here's the information that's going to empower you
48:18
to live a better life and and avoid having to walk through the doctor's doors um and so here it is right and so
48:26
I I put out there didn't get as many views as I'd hoped I think it got about 5,000 views or something like that which
48:31
is still good I mean that's that's a lot of people that that it empowered and that's more people than would normally show up to um one of my events right
48:39
normally there's only room for about 150 people but anyways yeah so that was that
48:44
was the end of that part of my career for the most part there was only one show that was willing to carry me after that um and once again no issues other
48:52
than the initial issues of the media trying to drum up controversy and then all the online troll activity but never
48:59
was there any issues with people coming to the show saying um oh you have him
49:04
here I'm not going to be here anymore not a single complaint physical complaint um their attendance was still
49:11
as high as they would have expected so it wasn't like people were just dropping out um and the vendors there was no
49:17
issue with the the vendors uh but that's because they had all been appris that look you're going to get people online
49:24
trying to disrupt this be prepared for it yeah there because there's actually no real issue and there was no issue so
49:30
there's only one show the body um Soul Spirit show that was willing to continue to carry me all the way into
49:37
2019 so that was that was unfortunate because
49:42
true Hope was still you know we were thriving we still are thriving but um we were thriving we were growing at a rapid
49:48
rate because of all of this activity we were helping a lot of people a lot more people than we otherwise would have been
49:54
through all of these shows by getting getting the information out there and it was just a really sad thing to see it
50:00
being attacked and the death of my son being exploited to you know propagate this false narrative that would um Shake
50:07
stuff up when in reality people like there just wasn't yeah it was it was
50:13
just really strange because there was no real issue but yet able to create an issue out of
50:18
nothing yeah that's right well stuff but that that takes us to what miday now I
50:24
think and your schedule for the Supreme Court in quite fast fashion again we see you know similar special treatment for
50:31
the case yeah so now so at that particular
50:38
time um Supreme Court of Canada I mean that's out in Ottawa there's only one of them there's nine Supreme Court
50:46
Justices and our case had been accepted it had been accepted
50:51
because um of the dissenting judge that gave us a shuid because typically uh if
50:56
we were to apply only one out of every 10 cases that that are applied to at the
51:02
Supreme Court of Canada will be accepted right because there's only one Court only one panel of judges right so they
51:07
can only hear a couple cases a day and there's only one court for all of Canada
51:13
and so they're very selective so here we are we have a shoe in we're now applying to the Supreme
51:19
Court we're in May comes around I decide to travel out there I go
51:25
in I fly into Toronto and the total health show is happening
51:31
now at first I was listed as a speaker right um or that sorry at first they had
51:37
accepted me as a speaker and they were going to list me and then all of a sudden um feedback came because I was
51:43
going to be there anyways right I'm already in that area because it would be on a Tuesday I believe is when Supreme Court was and so I'm there for the
51:49
weekend in Toronto then I'm going to drive up uh you know towards Ottawa and so I'm already there I might as well just go and present and set up a booth
51:57
but um the Elon come back and just said there's no room for David Stefan to speak that total hell show I go to there
52:04
and there's empty stages right and that's when I ran into Dell big tree and that's when we had had the conversation
52:10
about the impact that that video we had done back in 2016 had had for him how he
52:15
came under major fire online over it and that was that was just power for the course there was so much online activity
52:22
surrounding us um it just showed that there was such a phenomenal agenda in
52:28
pushing a false narrative and preventing and suppressing people from speaking the truth on this matter um and so anyway so
52:36
I I'm there I attend the show hang out whatever um as just a customer and then we we go up um me and
52:45
one of my reps who was who was with me we we decid to go up we we hang out in Kingston for for a day and then we head
52:50
up to the Supreme Court in Ottawa and they hear the case so they're
52:56
personally just watching this go down they hear the case now there's only seven Supreme Court Justices on the
53:03
panel here because um of interest um two of the judges are from
53:10
Alberta and one of the judges had personal dealings with my father because
53:16
she was back in the early 2000s she was a lawyer and she was actually the lawyer
53:23
that we had hired to represent us to go up against against Health Canada then before we got to trial she
53:31
was um um elevated to a judge she was um she was accepted in as a as a judge so
53:37
then we were left looking for a new lawyer and that's how we came in contact with Sean Buckley at that point in time but before that we had hired um this
53:44
individual as our lawyer so she becomes a judge and then uh Works her way up the ranks obviously fairly quickly to the
53:50
point that she ends up as a Supreme Court Justice so she can't be on the
53:56
panel because there is a bit of a conflict of interest there being that she' had dealings with my father um you
54:03
know at that point in time you know 16 years previous so she has to recuse herself
54:10
and then another one of the judges uh another Alberta judge that's closer ruses themselves because it has to be an
54:16
odd number 5 seven9 so now there's seven justices and
54:21
they hear the case they hear the crown they hear they hear our side and they go back into their ch for about 15 minutes
54:27
and we're just sitting there waiting and thinking okay you know once again they could render a decision that day or
54:32
generally within up to a month and a half they come out within about 15
54:37
minutes and they unanimously decide because oftentimes it
54:43
split decisions they unanimously decide that that error in law um in essence
54:48
created a wrongful conviction that there was an error in law from the 2016 conviction and so it was quashed boom no
54:55
longer d criminal record immediately gone right I'm not a convict um I'm not out on appeal nothing which was in it
55:03
was such a beautiful thing to to hear that because that was our last chance if they ruled against us there is nowhere
55:10
else to appeal to we're done going back to jail I would have literally had to take my you know go back to Alberta fly
55:16
back and then within like you know that day or two that it took to get back then I'd have to go and take myself and and
55:22
drive myself into jail and then we'd have to go and hear the appeal uh against us um for the crown to try to
55:29
get five years in jail so we hear this and we hear you know
55:36
that it was wrong and that all seven justices agree so the thing's done and
55:41
we're thinking okay the crown can they have the option to recharge now um and to bring it back to trial they have the
55:47
option but they might they might not go with it we don't know so I remember walking out in the news you know asking
55:53
me how I felt and I said you know we feel extremely Vindicated and um and now we have the opportunity to really
55:59
highlight who the true criminals were in this case because by this point in time my brother Brad had started working um
56:07
right after we lost the appeal in November 2017 um my brother Brad and a small team
56:15
started to dig deep into the files into the medical files and that's how we
56:21
discovered well wait a minute we've had like a couple hundred pages with
56:26
withheld from us we didn't even realize it in 2016 that we were working with a ton of withheld evidence like we didn't
56:32
have the withheld evidence and there's a lot of it and so now we're discovering this and we're discovering what actually
56:39
took place with Ezekiel and we're seeing all this stuff that we had no idea about that nobody would have discovered unless
56:45
they went through it with a fine Toth comb like basically finding these needles in a hay stack and literally a hay stack just stacks of evidence and oh
56:51
interesting what's this page say that's how can we never sell this at first trial how right so so we started calling
56:57
in more evidence we um we started making our own uh disclosure um um
57:05
applications uh the RCMP we did one they are supposed to respond back within 30 days they ignored it which is illegal
57:12
and I got a response back like a year later saying that they denied and they can't deny it by the way but they denied
57:19
it based on the change of circumstances a year later um so there's all sorts of corrupt stuff taking place but we were
57:25
able to get our hands on more and so now at this point in time we're starting to see it for more clearly for what it was
57:30
and who the all the criminal activity that took place in the investigation all the Dos involved all this type stuff how
57:35
there was perjuring in the first trial and my brother Brad and his team highlighted all that so now we're
57:41
working with a full quiver of arrows here or much more full quiver quiver of arrows where we see it for what it is
57:48
and so we're calling the whole situation out and so I I just told the news I said um now we're going to be able to expose
57:54
the real criminals and all of this and um I guess the crown decided to take
58:00
that as a bait and they went for a second trial so this is May
58:06
2018 and at this point in time um I'm in I'm in communication with the
58:12
National Health Freedom Congress down in Minneapolis uh
58:17
Minnesota and they want me to come and speak at their event coming up in the second week of June
58:23
2018 and I said well I don't know can't guarantee it because if the Supreme Court goes south I'm back in jail
58:29
definitely can't come and speak there but I said if they rule in our favor I'll be booking a flight immediately and
58:37
um I'll be coming down to speak and so they're hoping for that and so as soon as the announcement comes out I'm booking this flight right and I'm gonna
58:45
be going down there and so I've got all these plans already in play even just you know we're leaving the Supreme Court
58:50
and I'm already like okay game plan now how do we do this and I'm pondering this as we're driving back and I'm thinking
58:55
like I'm just feeling just Victorious at this point in time just so elated and in that moment of elation
59:02
this it just hits me hard um and the statement just comes to mind you know uh
59:08
the battle's been won but the the war is far from done right I'm like oh boy oh
59:15
boy okay and it would TR it would prove to be true incredibly true um all the
59:20
battling that we had gone up to that point um was pretty small in comparison
59:25
to where was about to go and so so now um I'm booking a flight and I'm going to
59:32
go down to the National Health Freedom Congress to speak before all of them now up until this point so this is now mid
59:40
2018 I was convicted wrongfully convicted in April of 2016 right so it's
59:47
over two years now and I've been charged back in 2013 I had been crossing the border on a
59:54
regular basis I mean we live fairly close to the Border where we're at so we actually have or had at that point in
59:59
time a US mailbox and so we'd go down monthly to go and and grab the mail it
1:00:05
was way cheaper to have a lot of our stuff just sent there and never an issue
1:00:11
um there was the there was the odd time I think there was twice at that point in
1:00:16
time where one of the Border guards asked me have you been arrested now I actually hadn't technically been
1:00:23
arrested like when they charged us typically they would arrest you and they put you in jail and then processing you get out and Bell they didn't do that
1:00:28
once again a very unprecedented thing right like the whole case is incredibly strange so
1:00:33
now um you know they'd asked me if I got arrested and I didn't want to be like well not really but you know what so i'
1:00:41
just say arrested I've been to jail and it would just shock him right like what do you mean you've been to jail right
1:00:46
because it's all post 2016 that these questions start to arise and then I'd get into it I just start talking about the corruption and all this type of
1:00:52
stuff falsified autopsy report blah blah blah and with fail every time you know here they are they're standing at the
1:00:58
computer with my passport and they're just like looking dumbfounded and they just look at me and hand it back and
1:01:03
they have a good day sir like just go along get out right like this is just strange like that's not what I was
1:01:08
anticipa like because normally somebody would get quite defensive and I was just like boldly no I've been to jail right
1:01:15
and so anyways never an issue crossing the border up and you know up until June
1:01:22
um when I go to fly out I go to cash my flight I'm early right I have enough time to get through
1:01:28
security even if there's hiccups and I had my passport over to US Customs and
1:01:34
they look at and scan it whereever oh we have to identify you like ident what identify me I'm I'm me look at me look
1:01:40
look at the picture it's still me beard long hair right and so I'm like okay identify me
1:01:46
so then I get taken to a back room in the Customs within the airport and I'm sitting in the waiting
1:01:53
portion just waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting there's one guy behind the desk and he he's been given my
1:01:59
passport and he's on his computer and I I'm just watching him and I see his eyebrows rais eyebrows drop eyebr he's
1:02:05
just like what is you can just tell he's dumbfound what is all this what's the story yeah yep and so I'm waiting I'm
1:02:13
looking I'm watching I'm looking at my phone looking at the time like I still got a little bit of time I can catch my
1:02:18
flight finally he calls me up after probably about 45 minutes I'm like oh boy my flight's almost been missed at
1:02:24
this point calls me and says um or he opens up the thought
1:02:30
that I've been flagged by the crown so the crown at this point in time what happened is they had recharged they
1:02:37
wanted to do a new trial and on my birthday June 11th because I'm supposed to be flying down uh June 10th and June
1:02:45
11th I'm going to be speaking right and so on my birthday they scheduled the
1:02:51
first hearing now it's a simple administrative hearing it doesn't require me being there we have lawyers
1:02:56
at this point in time it doesn't require our presence never did it's just a simple you know let's schedule some
1:03:02
dates what are we looking at for trial dates that's it well they tried to subpoena me to court saying you need to
1:03:08
be there for that and my lawyers are like absolutely not this is the most ridiculous thing what they were trying
1:03:13
to do because they knew I was going to be down there speaking it been advertised they were trying to prevent me from being down there speaking so
1:03:20
then then because that didn't work they flagged me at the border I'd never been flagged to that point but now I'm
1:03:27
flagged that's why as soon as they scan my passport all this stuff comes up and it's just like you can't cross the
1:03:32
border and whereas i' cross the border dozens of times between you know even
1:03:38
after the conviction which is I shouldn't be crossing the border at that point in time I've got a criminal record and there's no issues now I don't have a
1:03:44
criminal record it's all been quashed and they're saying you can't cross the border so he says to me you know you've
1:03:49
got these these outstanding Court proceedings he says we can't let you across the border until all of that is
1:03:54
cleared up I said well that could be 5 years are you serious he like yeah no serious like are you kidding me I said
1:04:01
like we just won our supreme court hearing we're exposing the whole of this the fact that they falsified this
1:04:07
autopsy report that they've done this this I talked about all this collusion and everything and he just looks at me
1:04:12
shocked and he says well he looks at me he doesn't say anything yet he grabs a pen and he just
1:04:20
you know slowly hands it over to the desk to me and says hey do you have a piece of paper I said yeah says' can you write all that down
1:04:27
so I can bring it to my supervisor I'm like no I'm not going to write that down I said go to this
1:04:32
website you can actually see it black and white you'll see the reports you're GNA see this you'll actually see the facts I'm not going to write it down for
1:04:38
you and you trust me look at the facts here here's this website go to it so he
1:04:43
goes to the website he brings it he brings it to his supervisor and I'm not kidding yet 10 minutes later they come
1:04:49
out and they're like you're you're good to go awesome unfortunately I was 10
1:04:54
minutes too late to to catch my flight had had to catch a hotel that night and then come back at 5: in the morning for
1:05:02
the next flight where once again scan the passport and oh you got to identify
1:05:08
this fortunately the supervisor that was on that afternoon was working the morning shift so she's like oh you again
1:05:13
quickly come back here we'll process you it'll take no right so five minutes later I'm walking up the the escalator
1:05:19
out of out of customs and I'm into the the US side of the airport right and so
1:05:24
absolute uh absolute corruption once again trying to suppress my voice they
1:05:30
didn't want me speaking at the National Health Freedom Congress in the US on what had just taken place over the past
1:05:35
few years with this corrupt
1:05:41
case so kind of an interesting uh anyways
1:05:46
interesting Twist of events there yeah yeah it sure is yeah the uh the whole
1:05:52
airport situation and again you're talk to a real person and he's listening to the story coming from you another real
1:05:59
person and he can quickly deduce that you're authentic you're you you're
1:06:04
talking facts and there you go yeah so then this is where things you
1:06:13
know really kind of started to heat up for us this is where it got hard so we just won the Su supreme court hearing um
1:06:20
that cost a lot of money uh we were a little bit behind on lawyers feeds at that point in time they're now preparing
1:06:26
for the second trial they're quoting us uh about a half a million dollars at
1:06:31
this point in time is what it's going to cost us just for the the trial right and to prepare for it even though they
1:06:37
already you know well apprised of everything they'd already gone through the 3500 pages of transcripts in the first trial and so now at this point in
1:06:45
time I think we're about 20 or $30,000 in debt to them and so we got to pay that off quickly and um and we're
1:06:53
working towards that but then something else arises as well my brother Brad and his team had discovered major elements
1:07:00
of corruption very very clearcut within the disclosure that we' received and so
1:07:05
now we're going to approach it much differently than we did the first trial and we're bringing this up with with the lawyers and the lawyers are not
1:07:11
interested they're saying no no it's a really easy Case clear-cut Case we'll just win based on the merits of the case
1:07:17
we don't need to go down the the rabbit holes of corruption here or there or whatever I said well that's what we thought the first time right that's what
1:07:23
we thought the first time we thought we had had to win the first time and it didn't work out that way um we're not
1:07:29
going to be so naive as to think it's going to going to go that way again right or to think that we're going to
1:07:34
apply the same tactics and this time win right like we don't trust the Judiciary and we're going to expose the corruption
1:07:40
we have to and they didn't want to they wanted to keep it just a very clean concise case um basically we didn't fail
1:07:48
to provide the necessaries of life right we don't need to expose the doctors we don't need to expose that there was collusion going on we didn't need to
1:07:53
expose Elbert Health Services we didn't need to open on worms on the chief medical examiner's office which is a subset of the crown right um we don't
1:08:01
need to do that and I'm saying yes we do and so we had a very um straight
1:08:07
conversation with them and and this is coming up I think September of
1:08:12
2018 and um and you know it just at the end of the conversation was well you have to
1:08:18
make a decision right uh one we need to get paid I said well we're working on that we're going to get you paid up right away here right and we'd already
1:08:24
been working with them for quite some time and generally kept up so that was fine MH um and second um you need to
1:08:30
make a decision as to whether or not you want us to represent you because we will not be representing these particular elements and I said okay well I already
1:08:38
knew what the decision was at that point in time and and here's why for a few months before that I had very strong
1:08:44
impression saying I need to self-represent and I was terrified I didn't want to self-represent and the
1:08:50
Optics are bad like my wife was going to hate me for it as well like it's just it looks really really bad I'm going to in
1:08:56
a very complex criminal case I'm going to go and self-represent myself and hope for the best but I just kept on getting
1:09:02
the impression you have to selfrepresent and I was not in a position to make that decision on my own and so it wasn't
1:09:08
until this conflict arose that I said either way I can't have you as a
1:09:14
lawyer and so I got back to them a few days later I got back to my lawyer and fired her um in a very gentle kind way
1:09:22
because I really appreciated what she had done for Us in the supreme court hearing and the appeal court hearing
1:09:28
over the previous two and a bit years um and so we developed a friendship and stuff like that think it was just a just
1:09:34
a a lovely lawyer really and so um so I just said well you know we're just going
1:09:39
to part ways though because this is the direction that I'm going and so then um the other lawyer who is working in close
1:09:46
concert with the other you know they're they're really they weren't working the same firm but they knew each other quite well so then the other lawyer that was
1:09:53
representing my wife cont talked my wife and said okay I need I need to meet with
1:09:58
you and so we went and met or my wife went and met with her and um the lawyer fired my wife as a client saying um like
1:10:08
I respect your husband what what he's wanted to do but I can't uh a part of it
1:10:13
yeah yeah I can't be a part of it in Ence because there's going to be conflict in the courtroom she wants to go One Direction I'm going to take it
1:10:18
another Direction she knows what what's going to happen and so she said it's just in your best interest that I fire
1:10:24
you so now my wife doesn't have a lawyer and she's not happy with me right like this is a really hard thing for her at
1:10:30
this point in time you know uh over the next month or two we get them all paid up with the
1:10:36
additional money that we owed them and now we're out of debt and and so we're feeling pretty free and clear except for the fact that I'm self representing so
1:10:43
now we're into a whole new ball game where I'm gonna have to get sharpened up
1:10:48
I'm GNA have to understand uh the elements of law and um I'm going to be
1:10:53
one speaking and that's in intimidating like I I'd spoken numerous times in court before but never had I done it
1:10:59
enough to overcome the intimidation Factor so now here I am I'm gonna have to take the stand all the time right I
1:11:06
can't hide behind a lawyer but also I've got the truth with me because oftentimes
1:11:11
like in 2016 I saw where the doctors would pull the wool over our lawyer's eyes in essence because he wasn't there
1:11:17
so they could lie and he couldn't respond in the moment and unless I stood up and objected which is out of the norm
1:11:23
and then went and said hey by the way she's loost and it becomes a court disruption unless I was willing to do that it just the lie
1:11:30
was able to slide and then afterwards lunch break I'm filling them in and it's like well it's already done it's not that big of a deal or what right well it
1:11:35
becomes a big deal when it happens multiple times it changes the narrative so now I'm feeling somewhat liberated
1:11:42
that I can speak directly to my accusers and call them out on their BS and that they can't pull the wall over my eyes
1:11:47
because I was right there I lived it I lived it just like they did they can't go and change the narrative so so now
1:11:55
we're starting to prep for court um coming up 20 late 2018 but there's
1:12:01
another there's another thing that's arising at this point in time um you see we were the first court
1:12:08
case of its kind or the first case of its kind in Canada where charges have been applied for failing to provide the
1:12:14
necessaries of life to parents that were not negligent and oftentimes what you'll see is that the charges of failing to
1:12:22
provide the necessaries of life will be accompanied by criminal negligence right they they generally go hand in hand in
1:12:28
our case that didn't happen why because there wasn't any negligence they could not establish negligence and that became
1:12:33
quite clear like even Justice jerky in the first trial at one point in time um digressed and just said you know this is
1:12:40
a really you know I'm gonna botch it a bit it's almost verbatim um this is a peculiar case because all the evidence
1:12:47
that's before the jury and the courts shows that the stefin are loving caring
1:12:52
attentive parents and then Sean Buckley stands up and speaks he says yeah exactly like it's
1:12:58
not right because typically negligence has to be a factor in it and there was no negligence um in fact if anything it
1:13:05
showed that my wife was a little bit overdoing right like and so um so now there's another case that
1:13:13
has emerged out of the Alberta Children's Hospital once again uh a year after um our situation arose with
1:13:21
Ezekiel and it's with a family that is not provac so they didn't vaccinate their children um that they were quite
1:13:29
naturally uh minded um home births um you know
1:13:34
homeschooling right like so so very you know what what the mainstream would consider The Fringe but just you know
1:13:41
people that that love Liberty and and choose to exercise their parental rights
1:13:47
so once again a case like that emerges out of the Albert children's hospital and what happens and I I got the medical
1:13:53
evidence on this because I I want to back them on it or I want to see if I should be back in them on it because I saw the CBC articles coming out on them
1:14:01
and what it said is that um it was alluding to starvation that basically their son starved and that was actually
1:14:07
in the headline like starvation case whatever and it was written by the same individual who wrote that article on us
1:14:13
that we showed at the beginning of this uh this podcast uh Megan Grant and
1:14:18
so um so I'm already aware of her and I'm aware that she likes to try to write smear articles and I'm looking at the
1:14:25
medical files and I said starvation isn't an element in this like whatsoever like they're just they they are just
1:14:31
trying to rip this family apart and for the same purpose it's going to be another agenda driven case to try to
1:14:38
monopolize the pharmaceutical industry and so I knew what the media was going to do
1:14:45
and I was feeling driven I didn't want to do it at all to be frank with you like it it was just such an upset in my
1:14:50
life um there was there was a little bit of fear surrounding it at this point in time but I felt that I had to go and
1:14:57
attend the court case day in day out and I had to go and report on it and be the alternate uh alternate media to
1:15:04
it so um that's exactly what I ended up doing uh ended up being the alternate
1:15:11
media to it and uh it uh it generated a little bit of
1:15:16
attention um so here here's uh here's one of the news articles from the one of
1:15:21
the first days of the trial um so here I am I'm doing one of my live
1:15:28
live streams outside of the Calgary courts on this on the Jeremy and Jennifer Clark case who were charged
1:15:34
with failing to provide the necessaries of life as well as criminal negligence um in the death of their son and so
1:15:39
that's Jeremy Jennifer clerk you'll see once again they love to use pictures they what we saw common place is that
1:15:45
they were they were continually using pictures of myself and Colette that made us look bad um and so there was you know
1:15:52
a difference between pictures of like one two seconds where you know your face is just a little bit distorted whatever your mouth is starting to open your eyes
1:15:57
is starting to close whatever they do that often with us and so you see the same thing here where they just take a picture that you know makes him look a
1:16:04
you know that makes him fit the bill of a criminal yeah right so I go to report
1:16:11
on this case and this is where it gets interesting it comes out during the case
1:16:16
that um there's a massive overdose of saline uh their son uh 13-month-old son
1:16:24
uh um arrives to the hospital and he's got some health issues going on uh but
1:16:30
nothing uh lifethreatening at that point in time obviously left unchecked it could it would become lifethreatening
1:16:35
but at that point in time he's rating 15 out of 15 on the Glasgow Coma Scale rating so complete neurological
1:16:41
functioning there's no concerns there um just treat it well what they discover is
1:16:47
that he has hypo nmia low sodium so electrolyte imbalance once again kind of
1:16:53
interesting and that it's causing these symptoms so all they need to do is slowly Elevate his sodium levels and
1:17:00
nothing wrong with that but there's specific protocols when you're dealing with hyponatremia that you can only increase the rate of sodium by 0.5
1:17:07
milles per liter per hour okay now he's got a total of about 20 I think it's 23
1:17:15
uh milles per liter he's off so it's going to take them a total of about 48 hours to safely raise his um sodium
1:17:23
level to the point where he's backing to the normal range and doing fine and so this had been chronic hyponatremia that
1:17:29
had developed over the period it looks like about a week right so his brain had adjusted to it and all that so that's
1:17:35
why he wasn't experiencing significant symptoms from it whereas if you or I uh di down that low um that quickly we
1:17:42
would end up with um life-threatening issues immediately because the brain wouldn't have had time to adjust for it
1:17:48
and there would be major osmotic um interchange of extra and intracellular fluid taking place that we'd probably
1:17:54
have a lot of um brain cells and stuff like that dying off and so they bring him to the hospital and
1:18:01
they start to treat him for it and there's very like I said very specific protocols well within a a 12-minute
1:18:08
period they had raised his mil moles of per liter by um by eight okay now that
1:18:16
that should have taken place over 16 hours but they did it within like 12 15 minutes right and so what happens then
1:18:24
is it actually creates osmotic deamination Syndrome from the extra or intracellular fluid um leaving and going
1:18:31
into the extracellular fluid that you actually have the shrink of cells so rapidly that it'll actually sever the axons of the neurons so your brain cells
1:18:38
are literally just shredding apart so osmotic or osmotic demyelination syndrome or Central ptin myosis same
1:18:45
condition just different names and so they they ended up doing this and literally within about 20 minutes of him
1:18:52
uh receiving treatment he was into full-blown seizure so he had gone 155 out out of glas or 15 out of 15 on the
1:18:58
Glasgow Coma Scale rating to now all of a sudden his brain is dying rapidly to the point that he's in seizure and um
1:19:08
and in essence they they they they completely overdose him not just in relation to the amount of sodium but also in relation to the volume they had
1:19:13
doubled the volume of blood which would also create hypoxic injury um they had doubled they doubled the volume of
1:19:20
extracellular fluid in essence and so now he's not getting enough oxygen delivered to the brain
1:19:25
and so he has hyperemia and he's now um having his hypon nutria corrected at for
1:19:32
both the first 20 minutes it was about 70 times over the safe limit so he dies
1:19:37
within 21 he goes into cardiac arrest they are able to recitate him uh a few hours later but then he goes into
1:19:43
full-blown seizure again and then 21 hours later after the initial treatment was commenced uh he went into cardiac
1:19:49
arrest again and he died now here's where it gets twisted because it's a clearcut case
1:19:55
they they killed him um and what happened is there was an Uncharted uh
1:20:00
dosage and this is just to highlight the level of corruption this is the same doctor out of the Alber Jon's hospital that phoned homicide on us and incited
1:20:07
all this issue against us she was attending uh this young boy young John
1:20:12
Wyatt Clark and she goes in and gives him a 400 Mill
1:20:18
bolus of saline fluid now he'd already received 200 Ms just before that so
1:20:24
within just a few minutes he receives a total of 600 milliliters of fluid and now just just for context he has a total
1:20:32
of about uh based on his weight he has a total of about 800 milliliters of blood
1:20:38
right Max based on on on what you'd expect for a 10 kilogram child to have
1:20:43
so a maximum of 800 milliters of blood they just put 600 milliters of fluid into them they basically doubled his his
1:20:49
fluid level um in in moments right she doesn't chart it on the medical charts
1:20:54
but she has the arrogance to admit to it from her own personal notes while she's
1:21:00
up on stand during this trial and that was literally um like the 200 Mills was
1:21:05
was concerning and it would have raised his sodium too fast the 400 was definitely without a question a death
1:21:12
sentence and this doctor does this and she's one of the most senior pediatric intensivists within the Alberta
1:21:19
children's hospital and she does this so she you can't say that she did it with ignorance like she Working Day and day
1:21:25
out with with with children but remember she's the one that that incited the agenda against us initially by getting
1:21:32
all the police involved and everything in calling homicide when there was no case of homicide with Ezekiel right like
1:21:38
he went into respiratory arrest Suddenly at home and we couldn't figure out why that's not homicide and so the
1:21:46
corruption blows up and um shockingly um at the end of all this I reported the
1:21:52
whole thing countering the media and once again we saw the same patterns media was there on the days that it was really damning evidence that was coming
1:21:59
out but the the days that really good evidence would come out on on the Clarks the media would disappear or they just
1:22:05
wouldn't show up that day once again they knew what the narrative was they knew what the script was they were working with the crown and they weren't
1:22:12
showing up on the days that it wasn't um uh negative towards the the clerk so
1:22:17
media was once again in collusion to create an agenda um against parental
1:22:24
rights here in Canada so I'm I'm reporting on all this and we think it we think and that's not
1:22:30
I'm not naive like the the jury is seeing everything and they see it's an incredibly clear case Annie Savage Jo
1:22:38
also testifies at this case um showing that the autopsy report had been falsified so now at this point in time
1:22:44
we have actually have the chief medical examiner of Alberta who was the one who performed the autopsy and we have the former Chief medical examiner of Alberta
1:22:51
and they're going head-to-head and um it it was actually just an embarrassment
1:22:57
for the the chief medical examiner's office because when the chief medical examiner at that time was being asked specific questions about saline overdose
1:23:03
and why didn't you identify that as a cause of death um she said well um I
1:23:08
don't uh my expertise isn't working with live patients so I wouldn't know that what people don't die from saling
1:23:14
overdose so you wouldn't know that that only happens in live patients no that that takes live patients and turns them
1:23:19
to not alive patients right we call those dead patients and they end up on your table and you're examining them and
1:23:25
you're telling me that you wouldn't know if they had had a saline overdose based on the medical files you're kidding me
1:23:31
right because she came to this massive stretch saying that it was it was um a septic infection that had happened um
1:23:38
Complicated by uh eczema um and malnutrition and what how she had come to terms with the malnutrition is that
1:23:44
she had a postmortem blood test taken that was in contradiction to the premortal um while while he was still
1:23:51
alive um uh uh blood test that showed that his nutrients were fine but then
1:23:57
she took a postmortem blood test ignored the one that was taken when he first arrived at hospital and said oh he's
1:24:03
malnourished yeah you took you took blood out of out of a patient who's been dead for you know the better part of a
1:24:11
day and you now are saying that he's malnourished but yet he wasn't
1:24:16
malnourished when he arrived at the hospital and so we got to see all this type of stuff and that's where CBC then springboard and said oh malnourishment
1:24:22
oh starvation right when the kid was actually chubby he was in the 98th percentile for his weight based on his
1:24:27
height he was a shorter kid but he was chubby he wasn't starving and so we got to see how this whole agenda was playing
1:24:33
out and shockingly they were found guilty not sure what happened um
1:24:39
everybody who was in the courtroom once again like probably just as shocked as are more shocked than than we were when
1:24:46
we were found guilty by the jury in 2016 and so they were found guilty and
1:24:52
they end up doing 32 months or they were sentenced to 32 months in jail so this is a crisis that we're dealing with now
1:24:59
right and it's just further validating I can't trust the court system so to kind of fast forward now
1:25:08
now in November of because this whole this trial takes place over the period of October of 2018 now in November of
1:25:15
2018 we're preparing our own trial and we we are you know even though I felt
1:25:22
that I needed to self-represent I'm still examining options and I'm looking at
1:25:27
um I'm looking at getting legal aid right just to get some lawyer
1:25:34
representation and so I'm supposed to put in some applications because I make I make too much money even though I'm in
1:25:41
debt to the other lawyers we're paying them off still we're just about there um I make too much money you have to be you
1:25:47
have to actually be like legitimately poor to get legal aid so there's a real disparity there um that if you make just
1:25:53
above what you would be considered poor you can't afford lawyer right but you also
1:26:00
can't qualify for legal aid so there's a lot of people that are like that just can't defend themselves right and this
1:26:05
is where you get a lot of people taking plea Bargains because they just you know the concept of self- representing is
1:26:11
just seem out of the world so I'm looking at that and there there is an application that can be made a roboam
1:26:16
application that even if you do make more uh than than you're supposed to be qualified for and it's a really intense
1:26:23
type complex case that you can qualify for legal aid but then I look into legal aid and I'm looking at how many hours
1:26:30
the lawyer can actually put in and be covered for and it's next to nothing I'm saying why would I do that I'm gonna
1:26:37
bring in a lawyer have the taxpayers fund the lawyer and the lawyer is going to do an absolute garbage job because
1:26:44
they're not a lot at the time like at all right they won't even have time to
1:26:49
even get up to speed with what this case is even about like at all they just don't have the time so I'm like I'm not
1:26:54
doing that that's that's that's the stupidest thing so then because the
1:26:59
courts are aware that I'm going to make this application they're now trying to push me into the application not sure
1:27:05
why it's my choice and so I come back the one time and said okay I've looked
1:27:11
into everything uh I'm presenting before a judge now at this point and I don't feel comfortable with the robot them
1:27:16
well you're going to need to make that application why would I make the application if I'm not going to accept
1:27:21
it I'm not doing it right like now I'm now I'm finding myself saying that's not the choice I'm going with and and
1:27:27
they're saying you basically have to I'm saying no I don't have to like blow off you're not telling me that I have to get some crappy lawyer so that I get
1:27:33
convicted it's not going to happen and so we're like okay so what do we do well
1:27:39
at this point in time we'd already exposed um a lot of corruption as to what had taken place in the first trial
1:27:45
a lot of perjuring um a lot of a lot of interesting issues um Crown was playing
1:27:52
in on on some stuff going into some incredibly deceptive stuff where they were hiding the true cause of ezekiel's
1:27:58
death um and they knew it we didn't know it until we found it out from the medical evidence and then looked back at
1:28:04
the transcripts and saw how they were guiding away from a particular issue being uh potassium overload right
1:28:11
elevated potassium and we don't we still to this day don't know how Ezekiel end up with elevated pottassium and we'll
1:28:16
we'll kind of cover that off um little later but they the crown knew it and the
1:28:22
crown was trying to hide it because it was completely blew a hole in the the bacterial man and jettus narrative and
1:28:28
qualified everything that had taken place as to why Ezekiel needed an ambulance in the first place and it's
1:28:34
easily correctable had they had an airway that they could have gotten Ezekiel so you didn't end up with
1:28:39
significant brain damage and then they could have corrected the potassium issue and he likely would have been discharged from the hospital two days later three
1:28:45
days later with no issues right easily treatable puts everything onto the onto
1:28:51
the Albert Health Services but they were covering that up and they came up with this elaborate discussion about bacterial menitis
1:28:59
so what happens is we decide that we're going to put in an application to say
1:29:04
you guys are covering a million dollars from what we've had to pay thus far based on all of the corruption right
1:29:10
like we go through the first trial we go through the appeal the appeal's skewed then we the Supreme Court says yeah it's
1:29:16
all basically skewed done deal well where's our compensation we had to pay for all of that all of the errors of the
1:29:24
crown and of the Judiciary and we don't get any any any reimbursement and we have to go back to trial again like
1:29:30
you're just breaking us financially and so um so we say you're G to give us a
1:29:36
million dollars and then you're also based on the corruption that that just took place here you're going to give us
1:29:42
um another few million dollars to pay for a proper defense moving forward and this was largely based off of something
1:29:49
that um um something significant that happened I'll get into a second I'm going to I'm going to
1:29:54
share the uh the article
1:30:01
here all right so this comes out uh December 2 or
1:30:07
December 6 2018 so this is during that whole time where they're trying to get us to do a Rob Au application to get
1:30:12
legal aid and to get the the lousiest um uh lawyer available right G to read the
1:30:18
headline for people who aren't watching yeah thank you yeah so David and Colette Stefan apply for stay of charges because
1:30:24
saying hey these charges need to actually be dropped and millions of dollars from Alberta Justice okay so
1:30:29
we're going at Alberta Justice which has not proven themselves to have any sense of justice at all uh to date so I'll
1:30:36
actually read portions of of the um it's a short article I'll quickly read it a former Southern Alberta couple oh go
1:30:41
ahead no sorry I was gonna say yeah go ahead please read it yeah it's not long okay a former Southern Alberta couple
1:30:47
facing a second trial in connection with the death of their 19-month-old son in 2012 are calling for the charges against
1:30:53
them to be dropped and are asking for an estimated 4 million from Alberta Justice
1:30:58
David and Colette Stefan were convicted of failing to provide the necessaries of life you know it's interesting each show said were wrongfully convicted but they
1:31:04
won't put that in there um they were convicted of failing to provide the necessaries of life in 2016 in connection with the death of their son
1:31:09
Ezekiel his death was determined to be the result of menitis which it actually wasn't but okay an illness that the
1:31:15
parents had elected to treat with natural remedies instead of medical intervention so right there we still see that twisting of the of the narrative
1:31:22
saying that we he had menitis that we knew it was menitis and that we were trying to treat it with natural
1:31:27
treatments rather than medical intervention a new trial was ordered for the stefins by the Supreme Court as it
1:31:33
was determined that the original trial judge did not properly instruct jurors in a way the members of the jury could
1:31:39
understand the couple is since relocated to an area outside of Grand Prairie they made an appearance on Thursday via a
1:31:45
scheduled conference call with the courts in Calgary and Lethbridge that was expected to Center on legal aid
1:31:50
funding instead the stefins filed an application for a stay of the proceedings as well as an order
1:31:56
directing Alberta Justice to compensate the couple an estimated $1 million to cover the cost they incurred during the
1:32:02
previous proceedings they are also requesting that Alberta Justice Place $3 million in trust to be used by the
1:32:09
defense for the retrial scheduled for June 2019 David stefen told the court that
1:32:15
the applications are the result of recently released disclosure evidence that suggests
1:32:21
719 pages of the defense material was released to the crown by the
1:32:28
RCMP okay now I'm going to I'm going to hone in on that one the 719 pages so
1:32:33
here's what happens so now we're starting to do the the the whole pre-trial um uh back and forth
1:32:41
scheduling good for this date where's our disclosure Crown Supplies disclosure well the crown suppli is disclosure but
1:32:48
they actually didn't Supply us a proper disclosure they got the files mixed up and and it was really interesting I
1:32:54
think it was really quite serendipitous we start going through the files and we realize wait a minute why are all these files marked up like with highlighter
1:33:02
and there's notes wait and why are those notes our notes and we're thinking what
1:33:08
the over the past year at this point in time a full year my brother Brad and his team had
1:33:15
been going through all of this they had discovered all this corruption they mark it they note it how does the crown have
1:33:21
our defense showing everything that we've discovered right so our defense
1:33:27
has now been released to him and we realized oh because what we discovered is it actually appears that after they
1:33:34
had overdosed Ezekiel on rocuronium bromide but he was still alive it actually appears that they um they
1:33:41
finished the job uh by overdosing them with three subsequent doses of the rock aronium bromide uh later during the
1:33:48
Stars transport after they'd already put him into cardiac arrest with that particular drug they then gave him three
1:33:54
doses of it within 30 minutes which you'd never do it has a half life of 45 minutes and they were giving them adult
1:34:00
size Doses and so we're saying why the heck would they do that and okay now he gets into the the Alberta Children's
1:34:07
Hospital they're saying medically induced coma which they now completely deny and you wouldn't find it in any
1:34:12
medical reports but that was the first thing they ever told us and we were trying to help him come out of a coma
1:34:17
and so now we see that this major issue here and we're saying there's a potential homicide here and the evidence
1:34:23
is actually pretty strong for it that somebody made an order out of Albert Chon's hospital after they'd already
1:34:29
messed things up so bad with Ezekiel to basic basically euthanize them and many people would say well yeah that's that's
1:34:35
extremely unethical they wouldn't do that well yeah they would do that they're actually pushing for it and we now see the landscape today is
1:34:41
significantly different than what it was 10 years ago where that would seem like it was on The Fringe but yet we see it
1:34:47
now being put into law and all this type of stuff with the whole maid and everything like that that human life is definitely not valued within the medic
1:34:53
system in fact they'll help you exit life um quite simply and they would prefer to do that so we were saying it
1:35:02
looks like there was there was what could be considered from somebody's end after they messed everything up a
1:35:07
potential they would deem it to be an ethical euthanization um and the evidence supports it and so we brought it to the
1:35:13
RCMP well the RCMP said we're just going to throw all this stuff in the garbage you give this to us we're throwing into
1:35:19
the garbage well they didn't throw it into the garbage they then took it and fed it to the crown and now our defense
1:35:25
files were with the crown now everything that we had that was um that would have
1:35:31
been a curve bile for the crown going into the trial had already been released to the crown the crown knew everything
1:35:38
that we knew at that point in time which completely compromised our defense um it
1:35:43
was highly illegal for the RCMP to do that to take something that should have been put into a particular investigation
1:35:50
and rather they didn't they they basically absolved themselves of that say we're not going to investigate but
1:35:55
we will take those files and we're going to give them to our friends at the crown so that they they can beat you over the head with this a little bit more and so
1:36:01
now we're saying unfair trial Turf it and we got the case law for it we've got the case law for it so then we go into a
1:36:08
hearing in January of 2019 and I bring the I bring all the stuff forward all of the the Grievances
1:36:15
all of the corruption but at this point in time this is where it gets really twisted
1:36:21
see there's a a renowned judge the second top judge in Alberta at that
1:36:26
point in time uh associate chief justice rook and he's got himself a name here
1:36:33
and this isn't I haven't given him this name but um he's he's he's he's developed a name Rook the
1:36:40
crook and we discovered that that wasn't far from the truth if at all far from the truth in our dealings with him what
1:36:48
happens is as soon as we bring this stuff forward and we're highlighting the corruption the previous Jud
1:36:54
that was trying to Ram me into this rooam application she's taken off the case and all of a sudden Rook appoints
1:37:01
himself to the case he appoints himself remember he's the second top judge he's over the Southern Alberta district and
1:37:06
so he's the one that would normally assign judges to it so now all of a sudden the the the curtains are pulled
1:37:12
back and we see you know the the biggest player pop out and put himself right onto the trial himself and I can tell
1:37:19
you right off the bat his role was to shut me up because every time I went to bring up some of this substantiated
1:37:25
corruption that on the black and white he would actually yell at me whether it was over the phone phone hearings or
1:37:32
whether it was in in person within the courtroom he would continually yell at me and it got to the point that I just
1:37:37
realized you know it doesn't affect me I just need to smile at him while he yells at me and then ignore the fact that he's
1:37:43
getting mad at me for bringing up this this evidence and that I need to finish off supplying that evidence so it's on the record right so he's trying to shut
1:37:50
me up so that it's not being found on the record because he's become major points of appeal down the road if things
1:37:55
don't go well for us so so now um I'm trying to bring forward all
1:38:02
of this and he dismisses the whole of it we have a hearing over the whole of it saying $4 million $1 million
1:38:07
compensation $3 million in trust and we'll get to use that for our defense what we use we use and what we don't use
1:38:13
we don't use and it goes back you know to you guys right but basically we've been absolutely compromised in all of
1:38:19
this with the the illegal activities of the rmp in in releasing these files to the crown and everything that now we
1:38:25
don't stand a chance at having a fair trial like in no world will we have that that
1:38:32
the crown has had our defense leaked to them so then what happens is he
1:38:40
dismisses the whole of it and says you're in the wrong courts this is a civil matter when when we are actually
1:38:46
citing case law that showed no this is actually within a criminal matter you guys have already had a ruling on this
1:38:51
type of thing where you've paid a guy out $10 million for the exact same grievances actually less grievances
1:38:57
we've got more grievances on black and white than he did you guys paid him out 10 million um for the same type of thing
1:39:03
with a bot's first trial and so he dismisses it and says no wrong Court I can't rule on it right
1:39:10
civil court oh interesting so he he skirts out from underneath of it and we
1:39:15
know where it's going to go and he's still the appointed judge so we have to work through him it's not like we can appeal to a HED judge there is no HED
1:39:21
judge at this point in time and we're getting ready for trial and trial is scheduled for June of
1:39:28
2019 and so now um once again they schedule in March over the anniversary
1:39:35
dates of the death of Ezekiel they schedule the preliminary hearing and so
1:39:41
now um I'm going and I'm presenting all this information and our major major grievance at this point in time is we
1:39:48
still don't have a full disclosure and we have substantive evidence that shows
1:39:53
like you know here we' got this black and white stuff you know that uh from the Alberta children's hospital and it's
1:39:58
saying based on this lab report from the um L Bridge
1:40:04
hospital um here here's what our thoughts are on or whatever right and we're saying but where's that La report
1:40:09
why do we have nothing from Lethbridge hospital we have evidence showing that there was stuff from Lethbridge hospital
1:40:15
but we we don't have anything from Lethbridge hospital so we put in requests no turns out there was about an
1:40:20
hour and five minutes of a complete black hole during the transport of Ezekiel and the excuses were from the
1:40:27
Albert Children Hospital when they were the doctor that was overseeing everything she said oh yeah nobody was reporting at that time we were just too
1:40:33
busy you know trying to work with them so that's interesting so you have the Cardon team that had just brought
1:40:40
him to Lethbridge you have the Lethbridge team and you have your team coming through Stars you have three
1:40:46
different teams that R Ving you're telling me you don't have enough manpower for anybody to be documenting anything especially given the fact that
1:40:53
there's documents citing that there was documentation that had taken place and yet it's not available now like highly
1:41:01
illegal um like that should have been jail time for somebody right there because you cannot have these types of
1:41:06
medical procedures taking place and no documentation it's actually against their act and so we're like okay so
1:41:13
we're we're fighting for this saying we need a full disclosure which means that the 2016 trial was illegal uh you cannot
1:41:21
have a criminal um trial take place place without a full disclosure we never did receive a full disclosure in 20 in
1:41:28
2016 in fact when we compared it um my brother is the one that did all the comparisons after we finally got all of
1:41:34
the evidence that we could get our hands on and he showed the evidence that we were working with in 2016 and you put a
1:41:40
tuni up on its side and the the the full diameter of a tuni is how thick um the
1:41:48
disclosure was that we had at going into 2019 that's how much more thick it was versus what we had
1:41:53
in 2016 there's about an extra 200 and some odd pages that we had but we still
1:41:59
didn't have a full disclosure so then um after we can't get a full disclosure I
1:42:05
put an application saying the charges have to be dropped it's illegal they have to be
1:42:11
dropped but Rook the crook refused absolutely refused to let any of that go
1:42:20
um and said no no they they've told us that you have all the disclosure we need to trust that you have all the
1:42:25
disclosure even though we'd already shown him the evidence showing we don't have all the disclosure there's lab
1:42:30
reports missing there's x-rays missing there's all sorts of stuff missing but it's cited in other evidence they
1:42:36
obviously didn't do a good enough job cleaning everything up that there was still fragments left to show that there was stuff missing and yet um we can't
1:42:44
get our hands on it which means that somebody is responsible for destroying evidence and that is a clear-cut case of
1:42:50
jail time right there you can't do that so highlighting that there's more criminals involved in in in this whole
1:42:56
process of trying to generate a different narrative to push this agenda so we're we're left in this
1:43:04
position where it's like well what do we do so we did we did a final three applications before trial arose now Rook
1:43:14
um acj Rook or John Rook had kept himself on the case we kept on asking him are you going to um appoint a
1:43:21
different judge for the trial Jud judge or are you going to remain the judge because you're biased and he says well I
1:43:28
haven't decided yet right and that's what he kept on saying haven't decided yet and we're getting up into may now
1:43:33
and he's still not giving us a clear-cut answer so okay well we know what the outcome will be with this guy because he
1:43:39
has suppressed everything he yells at me every time that I bring up anything about the corruption um and he's not
1:43:45
going to be a fair judge like at all so we put in a final three
1:43:52
applications to him the week before we're supposed to go to trial proper so
1:43:57
we're now in the last week of May the applications were a stay of
1:44:03
proceedings based on the fact that we never did receive all the all the disclosure but if they don't stay the
1:44:09
proceedings then an adjournment because Colette can't be at this point in time self-representing um she's just not
1:44:16
there emotionally sure at all like I'm sure any mother could sympathize right
1:44:21
the loss of your son you're now having to to battle it out in an intimidating scenario within the courtroom right over
1:44:28
that so an adjournment of proceeding so that we could actually afford a lawyer because it would be within about another
1:44:33
six months we should be able to afford a lawyer for her at least I'm going to self-represent she's going to have a
1:44:38
lawyer and also a rusal application and we had all the evidence over the
1:44:44
previous six seven months of our dealings with Rook the crook that showed that he should not be on this case
1:44:50
whatsoever that he has displayed a significant apprehension of bias and that he has been basically um working in
1:44:58
conjunction with the crown and with Alberta Health Services to protect the narrative and to suppress the corruption
1:45:06
from being exposed so we put out we put all these applications and I'm I'm up in Grand
1:45:14
Prairie at this point in time when they're filed so they're being filed on my behalf um by one of my brother's team
1:45:22
members now my brother if you phone him it'll record right and so you get all sorts of
1:45:29
stuff on on on files sometime or on recording that you you know sometimes people don't want like when the RCMP
1:45:35
Sergeant after um evidence had been supplied to him about this potential homicide uh he F my brother brother Brad
1:45:42
and now it's being recorded and we have it on recording he says if you bring anything into me I'm just going to put it in the garbage which obstruction of
1:45:49
justice we legitimately have a case against thecmp on obstruction of justice in this case but yet would you expect
1:45:55
that anything would ever happen with it you think the crown would ever carry charges on it no absolutely not they're all ined together on on this whole whole
1:46:02
scenario so now what happens is that these applications go to be submitted or to to
1:46:08
be accepted by the courts all three are supplied but what Rook had done is he
1:46:14
made it so that the court clerks weren't just stamping these um these applications approving them they had to
1:46:21
phone him first and run it by him as to whether or not
1:46:26
they would be accepted so that he knew every filing that was coming in from us now it's pretty exclusive because
1:46:31
typically that's not the case somebody goes and puts an application it goes in right it's that simple there isn't an approval process to ad Justice right so
1:46:38
now the court clerk is fting him and he says I'll accept the stay of proceedings and the adjournment application but I'm
1:46:45
rejecting the rusal application which is interesting because that's a complete
1:46:50
Contra conflict of interest the ruse application is to Pro provide evidence as to why he shouldn't be on the case
1:46:56
and he's saying I'm rejecting it why because he's going to stay on the case so so my my brother's team member phones
1:47:06
my brother Brad to while the clerk is right there and saying hey they're rejecting the rusel application and then
1:47:13
the clerk qualifies that yeah no Rook doesn't want to accept that it's on recording we have it on recording so
1:47:19
we're like okay well you're gonna play dirty like that good we're gonna we're going to publish this online we're going to push it out there that you're
1:47:26
obstructing justice here that you're you're part of the mess so so anyways it goes It goes online and and we're able
1:47:33
to get some major traction with it and then um we find ourselves now uh right
1:47:38
before the court case we're now we're now hearing the applications we're going to address two out of the three that we
1:47:44
had initially tried to get in we get into the courtroom
1:47:50
and we uh we're ready for it Justice Rook sits down says today we're
1:47:55
going to be hearing three applications from the stefins and the crown says your honor
1:48:03
I'm not aware of three I only have two oh no no no there's three um and like well we only have two
1:48:11
oh well the stefin failed to to supply you with the third right so trying to
1:48:16
thow it on to us on record that we were negligent um but we will be hearing three so what I'm going to do is we're
1:48:21
going to adjourn this for 10 minutes and the stepin are going to going to supply you with the third application and then
1:48:28
we're going to hear them out so sure enough 10-minute break we quickly print it out we Supply it to them but in the
1:48:35
meantime I also pull up I've got I've got ready to play before the courts the recording that says that he rejected it
1:48:42
and so now I get back up and I said hey you know just for the record here just
1:48:48
for the record um because this looks really bad on me it looks like we're negligent I said for the
1:48:55
record we need to clear this up that you rejected that third application that it
1:49:02
was not filed with the courts and I have on recording and as soon as I start saying that he says I'm well aware of
1:49:08
that recording it's not illegal but improper you're not allowed to talk to
1:49:14
um Court officials anymore so he blows a gasket right on record and uh and we're
1:49:20
say Okay know you're definitely fitting Rook the crook right like you're you're you're you're a deceiver a distorter a
1:49:27
twister and you're really helping to push this whole agenda as if you were a part of it from the very beginning now I
1:49:33
can't say whether he was or not but it's a good chance that he was the one that was also providing instructions to the original judge Justice jerky as to how
1:49:40
to do everything to ensure that there was a conviction that's quite likely can't say it for sure but quite likely
1:49:46
because he would have been the boss of that that judge and that judge kept on having to take little breaks come back
1:49:52
and then he would make his decisions as if he was running it by somebody else so
1:49:57
um there we are now we hear the three applications and of course the whole
1:50:02
thing is a kangaroo court he shuts down the state of proceedings because he was already part and parcel in helping the
1:50:08
Albert heal services to not have to disclose all the information so we don't have a full disclosure so now we're in a
1:50:13
legal trial he dismisses the adj German application saying H you'll figure it
1:50:18
out basically um which typically is extremely rare that in a situation like that with a highly complex case for us
1:50:25
to say look we're ready in six months we'll have a lawyer right now we don't have a lawyer he's say n too bad right basically you'll figure it out and then
1:50:32
he he obviously denies the rusal application and now we're about to go into trial proper we're now about to go
1:50:38
into what's looking like about a month and a half to two month trial and that would become a major Gong Show major
1:50:45
Gong Show um and I think that's basically where we're going to leave it off uh that is that where we're leaving
1:50:50
off or is there anything else that I that I missed here no I think you've got it nailed down yeah our Title Here of
1:50:56
media gang talking and Rook the crook I think we've really gone through that perfectly and yeah just the names of
1:51:03
these judges Rook the crook and jerky just some interesting names to follow suit with with with character flaws I
1:51:10
guess but um now that's a a perfect way to segue into part seven which will be
1:51:17
coming to you guys next week but um yeah what a what a story so far we've got and we're kind of slowly coming to the
1:51:24
conclusion of it with just two more episodes left to to kind of finish this up and the story certainly continues
1:51:30
David M absolutely now it'll be interesting to see where it goes once
1:51:35
again um they would attempt to bring the vaccine agenda they tried to resurrect
1:51:41
that in 2019 we'll see where that goes uh in the next podcast as to if they were successful in in bringing that
1:51:47
forward and then we also get to see some major stuff surrounding arago and um
1:51:53
some some serious things being exposed on him um over the the next you know
1:51:59
month and a half to two well actually well I don't want to no spoiler alert here um anyways we won't spoil but
1:52:07
there's going to be some interesting stuff that that uh that comes to light when we discuss what happened in the
1:52:13
second trial that certainly is and that's a great place to wrap it up so that is it
1:52:19
for part six of the true Hope Family files we hope that you're enjoying this story as much as we are to go through it
1:52:25
with you but thank you so much David for that that's amazing in part seven which is titled Vindication and an upright
1:52:32
judge will be coming to you next week so be sure to leave us a review on iTunes you can do a star review on Spotify if
1:52:39

1:52:50
the hours of this but you know take it as an episode at a time split it up into segments it really is a story worth
1:52:57
knowing especially in 2024 with all the things that we see surrounding us but that is it from us we'll see you next
